My name is Sarah Resman and I am a recent graduate of Ithaca College. I received my Bachelor of Arts in Journalism through the Roy H. Park School of Communications, as well as a minor in psychology. I am a former staff writer for The Ithacan, Ithaca College's award winning student- run newspaper. My focus area was in the sports section of the paper, where I covered a variety of beats, including crew, club hockey and track and field. I am also a former Assistant Producer for Newswatch, a show part of Ithaca College's student- run television production organization, where I turned print stories into broadcast stories. I previously interned for The Ithaca Voice, a locally based and operated online news source. There I experimented reporting on crime, politics, and photographing local events.

 

My initial interest in journalism sparked from my constant curiousness, need to ask questions, and passion for writing. I pursued my degree with the desire to improve my writing and film skills, and to learn how to effectively communicate with my audiences.
